Financial literacy helps us make responsible choices. It also helps us prevent being taken advantage of. Under the belief that an informed population contributes to a community's well-being, the South Dakota Financial Literacy Fund was established in 2007.
The Fund supports programs that focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. Recent grants have funded credit counseling programs across the state.
