South Dakota Agricultural Foundation Fund
In 2016, a group of dedicated leaders committed to creating a fund that would act as a funding source for agricultural related projects in South Dakota for many years to come. The South Dakota Agricultural Foundation, an endowed fund within the South Dakota Community Foundation, will provide future grant funding for workforce development, industry development and diversification, working lands conservation projects and promotion of and service to agriculture. It will also provide a vehicle for donors and businesses alike who are interested in giving back to the industry that has supported them over the years. The goal of the fund is to raise $20 Million by 2021.
The SD Agricultural Foundation is an independent, industry-led nonprofit composed of key leaders in the South Dakota ag industry. The Foundation is committed to cultivating a culture of philanthropy that serves all South Dakota ag organizations, and investing in the future of South Dakota agriculture through financial support, human resources, and capital.
