Founded in 2012 Giving Back to Hoven
Our mission is to provide financial support to charitable and nonprofit causes in the Hoven area as recommended by the local Advisory Council. The board began by accepting a challenge from the South Dakota Community Foundation to raise $100,000. In return, Hoven would receive a $25,000 matching grant. Plains Commerce Bank stepped up and contributed $72,000 towards the effort and, thanks to many sub-funds that also benefit the community, the challenge fell shorty after. The Hoven Community Foundation has already given back $15,000 to community projects and will continue to give back for generations to come.
