Northwestern Community Foundation is a community savings account established by a local advisory council in partnership with South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF).
The Northwestern Community Foundation was founded in 2000 to provide support and funding for youth scholarships and community projects in the area serviced by the Northwestern School District. The Foundation provides scholarships to graduating seniors, teacher stipends for extra classroom supplies, extra funding for extracurricular activities both physical and academic. The Foundation also supports organizations in surrounding communities within the district such as park and playground equipment and various other community related activities.
