The Vermillion Area Community Foundation has established a “Round Up For Your Community” program, in partnership with the City of Vermillion, that provides residents with an opportunity to make a big difference and to give back to their community for years to come. If you are a city utility user, you can voluntarily sign up to “round up” your monthly utility bill to the nearest dollar. The maximum investment in any month would be 99 cents, and in a year, $11.88. Funds collected by the city through utility billing are remitted back to the VACF to be invested into the permanently endowed fund, and as the fund grows, additional proceeds are available each year for community projects. Contributions to the VACF, as a 501c3 organization, are tax deductible. This program is available for residential and business users.
