May 21, 2024 // GrantsSouth Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) recently awarded a $10,000 South Dakota Fund grant to Crooks Community Child Care Center. Funding will aid in supporting the final additions to the kitchen and laundry room of the facility.
“This grant is a game-changer for CCCCC and the new center, we will be able to provide care for more children with this incredible gift,” says Mel Boehrns, Crooks Community Child Care Center.
The Crooks Community Childcare Center opened its doors in September 2003 with capacity of forty-two children a day. The center provides affordable childcare of the highest quality in an atmosphere that promotes growth and wellness in children of all ages. “Together, we are investing in the well-being and development of children, ensuring they have access to quality care and nurturing environments for their growth,” says Ginger Niemann, SDCF Senior Program Officer.
