April 12, 2025 // Community Savings Account, Donors

Kadoka Area Foundation (KAF) Advisory Council recently accepted a challenge to raise $100,000 by May 2027 for a match of $100,000 from Rusty Olney of Kadoka, S.D. and $50,000 from South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF).
“The Kadoka area has given much to me. It’s my turn to give back and create something lasting for our community,” said Olney. “I encourage everyone who has called the Kadoka area home to give.” If matched with donations by community members, this will create a $250,000 community savings account (CSA) benefiting Kadoka area forever.

KAF is one of 90 communities in partnership with SDCF. Dollars donated are invested with SDCF, and through continued community support, provides a funding source for scholarships, nonprofits and charitable causes in the Kadoka area under recommendation of the local advisory council.
A percentage of KAF’s fund value is made available annually for KAF advisory council to distribute. As the fund grows, so does the annual amount available to give back to nonprofit groups and organizations making a difference.
