South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) recently awarded a $15,000 South Dakota Financial Literacy Fund grant to University of South Dakota (USD) Foundation. Funding will be used to support the President’s Senior Leadership Institute.

“The President’s Senior Leadership Institute (PSLI) is honored to receive this grant from the South Dakota Community Foundation,” says Jordan Bonstrom, USD Opportunity Center Director. “This grant will allow us to continue to grow this capstone program that helps to develop South Dakota’s next generation of leaders. One of the bedrock principles of PSLI is to provide learning opportunities for students to engage with communities across the state and grow as civically minded leaders. This grant will allow us to provide these leadership development experiences to even more students, allowing the program to have an even greater impact on the USD student body and our state. Again, thank you to the South Dakota Community Foundation for this humbling honor.”

USD is committed to preparing students for life after graduation. PSLI is a senior level initiative that provides USD students opportunities to gain professional development and learning experiences outside of the classroom, ultimately preparing them for life after USD.

“We are proud to partner with the University of South Dakota Foundation with their PSLI program," says Ginger Niemann, SDCF Senior Program Officer.
