South Dakota Community Foundation Awards $5,000 to Children’s Ark
March 11, 2025 // Grants, South Dakota Fund Grants
South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) recently awarded a $5,000 South Dakota Fund grant to Children’s Ark. Funding will assist with purchasing operational supplies and staff training.
“These funds will provide our organization with the opportunity to offer quality childcare and early learning opportunities to set up children and families for success, said Aran R. Anderson, Board of Directors, Children’s Ark.”
Children’s Ark originated as an extension of St. Joseph’s Indian School but soon evolved to offer childcare and preschool services to all families within the Chamberlain area. To achieve their goal of providing families with an affordable space that offers bright, healthy futures, Children’s Ark has renovating their building to ensure safe and supportive environment for children. They are also updating educational resources to provide inclusive and adaptive learning and play experiences. The remaining funds will be used for staff training and seminars.
