A Fresh Start
The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) presented a $10,000 South Dakota Fund grant to the Fallout Creative Community. Funds will support upgrades at their new facility.
“This SDCF grant award brings the vision of the Fallout Creative Community Center into reality; a place where all people are welcome to gather, be empowered by creativity and to connect in collaboration and community”, said Dan Cleberg, Director, Fallout Creative Community. “The completion of the center is sure to bring Fallout Creative Community to higher levels of effectiveness as our capacity to dream of a better world through the arts and make those dreams come true by building an inclusive community will grow exponentially.”
The Fallout Creative Community Center is relocating. In October 2018, the Red Rooster Coffee House moved to a new location with a space dedicated for the Fallout Creative Community Center. The Fallout has been in existence for twenty-two years. They encourage creative outlet for youth, seniors and the disabled.
“The South Dakota Community Foundation is proud to partner with Fallout as they strive to become a creative hub for their community”, said Ginger Niemann, SDCF Senior Program Officer. “Art serves as a vehicle for inclusiveness.”
The South Dakota Fund is an unrestricted fund that makes grants in support of culture, economic development, education, health and human services.
