Check presentation at Timber Lake School District

The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) presented a $20,000 South Dakota Fund grant to the Timber Lake School District.  Funds will provide partial support for sports complex enhancements.

“We sincerely appreciate and thank the South Dakota Community Foundation for selecting Timber Lake School District as the recipient of this $20,000 grant”, said Dan Martin, Superintendent, Timber Lake School District. “This grant will enable our district to move forward with phase 3 of our project which will impact our school and community. “

“The Timber Lake School Board of Education is so grateful that the South Dakota Community Foundation has awarded us a grant”, said Marie Gross, Chairman, Timber Lake Board of Education. “As everyone who grows up in the state of South Dakota realizes, our schools in our small towns play an integral part of the health and wellbeing of each of our communities. We know that the work that we are doing to our football and track area doesn’t just benefit our students, it benefits our students’ families, our community businesses and the overall economic impact that it has for our town is incredible.”

Safe accessible seating that will accommodate nearly 500 fans will be added in the summer of 2019 at the Doug Kraft Field.

“The South Dakota Community Foundation is proud to partner with The Timber Lake School District as they improve their local sports venue”, said Ginger Niemann, SDCF Senior Program Officer. “These enhancements will assure that the Doug Kraft Field remains a viable option for hosting sports events in years to come.”
