SDCF Award $24,000 in Grants in Rapid City

The SDCF awarded $24,000 in grants during a check presentation ceremony in Rapid City on Wednesday, July 23 at the Holiday Inn - Rushmore Plaza.

  • Working Against Violence, Inc. received $10,000 to support widespread education and prevention efforts through its Native American Domestic and Sexual Violence program.
  • South Dakota Afterschool Partnership was presented with $10,000 to host a statewide summit focusing on expanding afterschool opportunities for children and youth in South Dakota.
  • The Rapid Arts Council was awarded a $4,000 grant to add interactive technology to its Art Studio. 

Funding for the $10,000 grants is part of the Community Innovation Grant program, which aims to uncover breakthroughs in community needs across the state. The Arts Council grant was awarded from the South Dakota Fund.
